Car Photography Photoshoot Checklist with examples

I’m making this list as much for my own use as anything, but it might come in handy if you’re looking to sell your car and need a list of photos to take.

I was recently asked to photograph this impressive Porsche 911 for the owner, who was listing it for sale. Before you start:

  • Walk around and check backgrounds all around the car

  • Make sure the car is running with lights on

  • Check that the badge is upright on front wheels

  • Get convertible roof open if there is one

  • Get steering wheel straight

  • Chairs straight

  • Get sun visors up
