Kingfisher at Kings Pond, Alton

My usual lunchtime walk is around Kings Pond in Alton, Hampshire. I normally see a Kingfisher at least once a week here, but typically it is a fairly fleeting view. There have been a few occasions when I have managed to get a longer sighting of it, but frustratingly this always seems to happen a day when I’ve left my camera behind. Today I took my camera with me and finally managed to get some relatively close shots of this female Kingfisher. You can tell it’s female as it has an orange lower beak, the males entire beak is black.
